What a voice...One of the most unique i have ever listened too...It has made a massive impression in my life in listening to music...I only wish the world had of kept him here so i could have had the pleasure of meeting him...i will in my prayers thank god for sending Christy to us and letting us experience the most beautiful voice and personality of Christy Hennessy...you are a very lucky family to have had him in your lives...With all the evil in the world if it was filled with more people like Christy it would be a beautiful place to live in...my prayers and thoughts are with you...sorry i missed out on meeting a very special person...all my love..

I am preparing a trad/folk show for our community radio and I’m trying to choose which song from Christie to play !
There is beauty in all of them.
I think I’ll settle on "Song for Stephen", only a person of great love and understanding could write this song.
For those who are fortunate to hear Christie’s music, the world becomes a gentler place.

Christy will never be forgotton, I used to listen to him amny times and was inspured by his music and how he coped with his stammer and inability to read until he was a good age.

I feel deeply sorry for your family having lost such a unique kind, loving and innocent person. I recently discovered Christie and was fascinated by the deep traces he left. I now own a Hennessy dvd and cd and intend to get some more of him. Luckily he released his wonderful music. Thank you so much Christie and fill heaven with your soul.

I just wish to say that I am very glad Christie has been remembered by so many people and long may that continue. I am sure it must be a great comfort to all the family as he was a truly remarkable man and his music is appreciated by so many people. Love to all the Ross family and maybe Hermoine might like to say a few words about her Dad as she was so close to him.

I just discovered the amazing songs and talent of Mr. Christie Hennessy following a meeting with his charming daughter Hermione Ross. It is sad that we lost such a beautiful and talented man so young in his years. His songs, voice and music will live forever. They are timeless.
Thank you Hermione for this wonderful discovery. I will surely spend more time ldiscovering and listening to more of your father’s songs. What a gem!
My deepest condolences to all the family and close friends of Mr. Christie Hennessy.

Have just found out about his passing. It is very sad news and both my wife and I would like to pass on to his family and friends our sincere condolences. I bought a copy of A year in the life" in 2007 after hearing one of Christies songs on the Terry Wogan show. Immediately falling in love with his voice, style and songwriting. two tracks especially, "Remember me" and "If you were to fall".
Every time we play them we get emotional, more so now, after hearing of his death. The world is a poorer place now. Sadly we never got to see him in concert, but his memories will last forever.
May we send our love and wishes to his family and friends who must have been blessed to have known Christie.
R.I.P.
George and Wendy Gray.

Was present at his live performances at the new university in Coleraine which was one of his last shows in the north of ireland before he died, i will never forget it. had the pleasure of bringing him up a drink of water at the show when he asked if anybody had a spare bottle when his own got empty . It was the one and only time I saw him live. He signed two CD for me at the end of the show, which I will treasure along with a lot of other CD’s I have of him I was very sad to hear of his death so quick after his appearance at Coleraine. Christie had a lovely singing voice he will be sadly missed

Sunday January 11, 2009.-I just got Christie’s album The Rehearsal today in a newspaper and cant stop listening to it. I have know of Christie Hennessy for many years, having seen that unique smile on tv on occasions and hearing songs such as messenger boy on the radio, but it is only today that I have to come to realise that the world is a lesser place without him. I’m sorry I did not discover his music before now, but he has left a lasting legacy that I and many others will enjoy for a long time yet.
We have lost the smile, but we will never lose the music.
From your newest fan.
Mr Darren Kinsella, Dublin,Ireland
