| I only learned recently that Christie had passed away and am so greatly saddened at his untimely passing.
When I was home in Cork last year I was picking up some Irish music cd’s to take back to Sydney with me and purchased an album by Christie. I was always a fan and his wonderful music and lyrics bring me the greatest pleasure and are a taste of home for me. I went to see him play in the Opera House in Cork many years ago and he had a great exchange with the audience, captivating all of us. I extend my deepest sympathy to all his family and friends, a great light has been extinguished. With deepest sympathy. Claire McCarthy |

| Christy’s songs would bring a tear to a glass eye. I could not help but be moved by his simplicity, watching him on RTE recently. His deep love for his family and his courage in the midst of his illness was very moving. I try to sing some of Christy’s songs in my local pub where he is held in high regard. On behalf of myself and my family, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy on his recent passing. RIP.

| Met christie some years back in a hotel I was working in at the time.I was struck very much by his gentle and lovely manner and how humble this man was for a man of such talent.
Christie once said he felt blessed to be able to sing, I think we all were blessed to hear him sing and witness his talent and also be able to say we met a true gentleman.God bless you for the music and the memories. |

| I was devastated at the news of the death of Christie. I was lucky enough and very priveledged, to have known this wonderful man and his lovely wife and we have lost not only an extremely talented musician and performer, but a really good man who touched the lives of so many people, in ways he could never imagine. His humour and compassion were beyond words.
My thoughts and love are with his family obviously at this time, but I know the legacy of Christie will live on in his music. |

| I just saw a Program on RTE on Monday, August 4th, and it reminded my of how much I liked the music of Christie that I knew, and made me look for more of his stuff. He was a unique talent and wrote and sang some wonderful and moving songs.
Hopefully part of his legacy will be inspiring others to put thought into their lyrics and music and striving for the excellence he produced. Declan |

| I bawled my eyes out watching the documentary on Monday night. It brought back so many memories of my parents playing his albums on long car journeys in the early nineties. We all used to sing the chorus of Roll Back the Clouds together as a family and I can honestly say its one of my life’s happiest memories. So, thank you Christy and family for the wonderful music. RIP |

| Saw the RTE documentary this week. Had me in tears. Loved Christy’s music and was a big fan of his music through the 80’s and beyond without ever knowing behind the scenes, his hard life before fame, his family, his musical obsession. Pure Genius and as Christy Moore said on the program, beyond legend. Am now buying his CD’s all over again as most of what i had was on cassette tape. Adore you Christy wherever you are. |

| I too tuned into that docu on Bank hol Monday eve.
Brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a human being. So balanced. An inspiration. As Luka Bloom said...’sometimes words just are not enough. Obvious to see that the sun shone from his spirit. Long live the legacy. |
