On behalf of the Daly family living in Knocknagoshel Co.Kerry, Adare Co.Limerick, Headford Co.Galway, Erdington Birmingham, Enfield London and Sydney Australia we would like to express our sincere sympathy to all of the family.

We have thoroughly enjoyed all of Christie’s songs over the years and they have brought great joy to our far-reaching family. Watching his recent DVD ’Messenger Boy’ was particularly touching as we identified with so many of his stories. To have struggled with reading and writing and yet to have written such wonderful lyrics is an inspiration to many who have similar difficulties. It is lovely to see he was surrounded by such a loving and caring family and to see them carrying on his legacy.

I am listening to Christie as I write this and am thankful for the legacy that he has left behind. For his family it must be so hard to have lost him so needlessly and yet he was so composed and accepting of his illness. With his music he will live on forever. I so loved the way he spoke of his love for his wife and children his support of them and their support of him a family unit to be proud of. My deepest sympathy

Not many songs touch me emotionally, but Christie was a true songwriter. He put his heart and soul into the every song he wrote, and for that reason he on many occassions brought me to tears. The first time I heard one of his songs when I was watching a old home movie which had been taken off real cine reel, it had been re- worked and Christie songs were being palyed over the picture- I remember every picture and memory due to his heart moving songs.
Thank you ......

I would just like to pass on my condolences to Christie’s wife and family. I watched the programme on RTE last week, and the story of Christie’s life really touched my heart. He bore his illness with the same bravery, courage and hope as my Dad did and this is the reason why I feel I should leave a message. I loved his music as a child (and adult) and have passed on that love to my own two year old who loves dancing around the kitchen to "Don’t Forget Your Shovel" :-)
Your husband / Dad was a wonderful musician and a wonderful man with an infectious sence of humour and a humility and kindness that you don’t find in many people. RIP Christie

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT LISTENING TO CHRISTIE’S MUSIC HAS OPENED UP A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF MAGIC FOR ME. WHEN YOU HAVE STOPPED LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC, YOU FEEL IT IS EMBEDDED IN YOUR BRAIN AND YOU CANNOT STOP THINKING OF THIS WONDERFUL MAN WHO WAS A FANTASTIC HUMAN BEING. IF I FEEL LIKE THIS HOW ARE IS FAMILY FEELING? I AM SURE IT WILL TAKE THEM A LONG TIME TO GET OVER HIS DEATH BUT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE THINKING OF THEM TOO.THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC CHRISTIE.
