| I was a latecomer to Christy’s music and regret that I never got to meet him or hear him play ’live’. However, I think he has left a wonderful musical legacy and the fact that he shared much of this with his family must be a great comfort for them as they mourn his sad passing. I caught the tail-end of a documentary about Christy on TV a few months ago and bought the DVD of it last week. It is one of the most moving documentaries that I’ve ever seen, and a fantastic tribute to a wonderful man. Christy was a real star! |
