i have been a tremendous fan of christie’s for many years enjoying his music and lyrics, and although i had been aware of his illness the sad news of his passing was no less a shock. my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family. christy hennessy was and will remain a legend.

I listened to this amazing voice on "Irish Eye" one Sunday and was hooked on Christie’s voice forever. I was so sorry to hear of his death but what a legacy he has left us.

I was a latecomer to Christy’s music and regret that I never got to meet him or hear him play ’live’. However, I think he has left a wonderful musical legacy and the fact that he shared much of this with his family must be a great comfort for them as they mourn his sad passing. I caught the tail-end of a documentary about Christy on TV a few months ago and bought the DVD of it last week. It is one of the most moving documentaries that I’ve ever seen, and a fantastic tribute to a wonderful man. Christy was a real star!

I thought christy showed the courage he had throughout his life in making such a fantastic collection of his favourite songs with his peers before he passed away.What a beautiful song to do with his daughter,a moment that they will have forever.

My sincere condolences to Christy’s family on the loss of a wonderful man and performer. I commend the documentary recently shown of Christy’s life and have no doubt this was an accurate portrayal of kind and genuine gentleman, with a true love for his gift. I love listening to his wonderful lyrics and timeless recordings. May he rest in peace.

i have just been reading all the beautiful messages of condolence for a true angel of a man, i watched the documentary about his live, and altought i never met him, i was in awe of some one in this world who was truely pure and innocent, and i cried all the way trough watching him speak in his soft voice, he is an angel in heaven as he was on earth....beautiful spirited soul, r.i.p and god hold him close . my deepest sympathy to all his family at such a loss...

i cried my heart out when i herd your lovely husband died i went to see him at the lryic and at the belfast oprea house his voice made the hair on my neck stand up.my husband and me listen to his lovely voice everyday of the week .my brotherinlaw passed away a short time ago and wee had that lovely song remerber me played at the funeral everyone was in tears and came up to me asking who was the singer with pride i told them it was a angel called christie hennesey . i am an emotional person and when i feel down i sit and listen to his lovely soothing voice. whenever i haer remeber me i will always remember him love and best wishes from hilda and jimmy hughes xxx.belfast.

Hi, im a 22 yr old, who grew up listening to christy, he was a talented man with a beautiful voice, track no. 3 on the duets cd was the first dance song at my wedding, i love christys music, always have and always will.

I have been listening to christie and Tommy Fleming singing ’Jealous heart’ and i have never heard a more beautiful song about Ireland, it is a true classic song and should get worldwide recognition.
