It is a year today since the untimely death of Christie, one of Earth’s gentlemen and a wonderful singer. What a voice.

I never heard Christie sing live but his songs, especially ’Remember Me’ are etched on my heart.

’Remember Me’.....I certainly will remember you Christie.

To Christie’s Family.
Just to say that we are remembering Christie’s 1st Anniversary, thinking of the happy time we had together, when we used to work in London, Painting, which was many years ago. We had many happy times, and some great laughs.
Thinking of you all.

You will live on as long as great singers cover your work. Juliet Turner gave a sublime performance of "I am a Star" last night at a live gig. She told her story of how you inspired her, and possibly was the trigger to her becoming a singer-songwriter.
Christie you live on.

It has taken too long forme to get onto the website and give my message. I loved Christie’s music and the "light" always present in his voice. Without doubt he shone that light on those he met and sung to. My thoughts of peace and healing to Christie on his eternal pathway and to his family and friends.
with love, John

I was at the tribute concert in Belfast, a fantastic tribute to Christie but only a flavour of the talent that was Christie. A fantastic but poignant reminder of this genius who could sit alone on a stage and entertain an audience apparently effortlessly.
You are still my star!!!
We know how much he is missed and trust his wife and family will find consolation, knowing we all share their sorrow.

I went to a Christie tribute concert last night and it was so emotional. We really miss his presence and his fun, and will never forget those smiling eyes. His music will live on in my heart and I will share it with my children so he will never be forgotten.

Christie, you were a star!!!!!

Much Love

I shared an office with a friend who was a good singer. He constantly sang songs from The Rehersal, I hadn’t heard of Christie before that, I was and still am a Rory Gallagher fanatic. After a few days of listening to my friend singing Christie’s songs I went to Zhivago in Galway and bought The Rehersal. It’s a beautiful album full of beautiful and wonderful songs and music. I bought a Year In The Life when it was released and Lord Of Your Eyes and so on. I was deeply saddened when I heard of Christie’s passing. Although I never met Christie I know he was a gentle and humble man. He left a wonderful legacy of song and music. P Comer.

I first was introduced to Christy when I got the album The Rehearsal from my mum when she visited me in England. From then I was hooked and I now live in Northern Ireland and I was in Ballymena when Christy visited in 2007 with Juliet Turnier I am a fan of her music too. I am so sorry that I will not be able to get to the waterfront hall this weekend to see the show in his memory for I am on the way to Kildare to visit my mam.

Christy has left us with such a legacy of not only a great singer/songwrite but also a fine human being and I know his work with Children in Crossfire goes on. It’s hard to put into words what you feel you are writing words that show what someone means to you but be sure of one thing when I am travelling down to Kildare this weekend I will have Christy playing in my car.

Love to you all and I know that the world was a far better place because Christy Hennessy lived in it and will be sadly missed.

Regards

Tony Flavin (Fan)
