| Dear Friends and Family...we were so lucky to have known about Christie and to know and love his songs. He always reminded me of my dear Michael who died 12th may, 2,010. Both were talented and yet so humble. Deepest sympathy to you all, Bernadette. |

| Christie had a very unique singing voice and he will never be forgotten. He had a very rare gift and he shared it with everyone and his memory will live on forever. He remained a very quiet and unassuming man ’till the end. Our thoughts are with his family at this time, please accept our sincere condolences |

| A fantastic artist and a great loss to the world of music, there may be Irish Artists that have had greater exposure but Christie’s music is the one I keep coming back to time and time again - timeless! |

| Christie. to me was a lovely gentle and shy man.
Unoffensive and so talented. Having recently lost my own Mam I take comfort in his beautiful lyrics and melody of ’Remember Me’ I hope he is singing away up there now to all our loved ones. |

| Christie’s music strikes a huge resonance with my childhood, listening to his songs with my late mother. It is with great sadness that I learn of his passing. He was a true star. |

| As someone born just outside of Tralee (Brandon Bay) in 1943, and who spent many years in London - and now in South Carolina - I can relate to so much of Christie’s experiences.
He has become a Legend, deservedly so, and his lyrics bring me "home" again every time I listen to them. God Bless you Christie. |

| I was so sad to hear of the death of Christie, he was such an intelligent and gifted songwriter and musician but moreover a very humble man an example to all of us. I remember as a child I would sing his music which my granny always loved to hear, alas she is no longer with us either. But he will live on in the emotion and raw beauty of his music and his many interviews one of which I heard up in Belfast on BBC I was glued to the seat of my car until it was over. While I think he will be more remembered for his more famous songs for me jealous heart is his greatest work with truly touching lyrics.
I hope the time since his death has rounded off the sharp edges of his departure. Kind regards |

| Just a note to say Christy’s music and particularly his late start as a pop idol really encouraged me. Loved his music, particularly Jealous Heart and Shovel. Magic. |

| While grief seems never ending, some day, some time,
something quite unexpected will come along to get you over the final hurdle and bring you to a place where you can remember without the awful hurt. You will be able to see, in your minds eye, a supreme happiness that can never be reached on this earth. Twenty years of grieving for our much loved loved son were brought to an end by the poignant lyrics of "Song for Stephen" What insight inspired this gentle, unassuming man to write such tender lyrics and bring them to life with beautiful music? I now know that Christy is having "all that fun" with my son in Heaven. It is we, not them, who should rest in peace until we meet again! God bless you Christy Hennessy, you will never know what you did for me. |

| A great loss - a magnificent musician who touched our lives and made them better. We felt Christy was a member of our family! His legacy will live for generations. Ar dheis Dia go raibh a anam usuail.
I met Christy once in passing at Dublin Airport - he proved to be the gentleman I always thought he would be. |

| It was my pleasure to type the words of a song called Dont Forget Youre Shovel back in 1971/1972 for a lady that called to the bank where I worked. She said it wa for a singer songwriter that was her friend and neighbour.
Many years later a lady called Veronica ,she is married to Hussain, came to work for this Compny and she told me that she was related to Christie but could not tell me who the lady was.The same lady that asked me to type the song had two daughters I hope you have peace and I am delighted with the Songs my Father taught me as Christie also thought us all in his own way We miss him |
