| Hi,
I am really sorry I never got to see Christy live, but I think his music will live forever and perhaps in that way he is not really far from us. I loved his duet on his last recording with his daughter, magic!!! xx Tony |

| When my father died in 2004 he was the same age as Christie was when he passed, 62 years. Much too early. And still after all these years the loss is tremendously. I feel with his family. I first heard a Christie Hennessy song, when I bought Christy Moores album „The time has come“, around 1988, „Don’t forget your shovel“. When I got access to a satellite dish a couple of years later I was able to listen to Irish radio shows. Limerick 95, Dr. John was playing Irish Folk Music all day long. That was when I first heard Christie singing himself. Great voice, talented songwriter, friendliest of persons, enormous loss. Thanks for maintaining this site, Kai Witomski, Dortmund, Germany. |

| Christie, you were an amazing inspiration, a great song-writer and a great performer. It really touches people when they listen to your songs although they are so simple and understanable, you are greatly missed! |

| Christy, you have given me great joy.!!!!!!. I’v spent lots of my life with my family singin songs. I’v heard plenty of bullshit, but you have made it real.!! Your legacy will prevail.

| I have only recently been made aware of Christie’s exquisite music. So sad that I wasn’t aware during his life.
You must be very proud to have been part of his life. Kind regards Barbara |

| My mam recently passed away and had requested that "Remember Me" be played at her funeral. She believed that the words in this song would give comfort to those grieving for her. A wonderful song, written by a wonderful talented songwriter and person.
Christie, my mother was always a fan of your music and hopefully you are both getting a chance to talk in heaven. My sympathy to your family. You will live forever in all our memories with your beautiful songs. |

| I have very warm memories of seeing Christie in the York Tavern, Wandsworth, at the Sunday night Folk Club in 1974. I remember him best for the singing of the Galway Shawl and for his joke about the size of the private parts of Ted Heath & Harold Wilson! I was very pleased to pick up a copy of ’Stories for Sale’ yesterday. |

| I saw the documentary on Christie at Siamsa Tire and went out and bought lots of his music. I attended the recent Inaugural Christie Hennessy Songwriting Competition/Festival and the standard was just great. It was a very fitting tribute to Christie and he’s have loved it.
I used to be a music journalist and have volunteered to do the Press and PR for next years festival - we are waiting to hear back from IMRO if they will fund it. Cutbacks everywhere now. I am determined this will run again next year, and from now on. Christie was so proud of where he came from and I want us to give something big back to him and to music. I’m so sorry you lost him. He still lives with us all and in his music. I would just love to have met him, and have spoken to many people about him. Best regards, Helen FitzGerald, Tralee |
