| Jill, Hermoine, Amber and Tim, you must be so proud of your husband and father. I know he was so proud of all of you. My deepest condolences to you all on the death of your husband and father. Ive just watched the Messenger Boy dvd for the second time inside two weeks, I cried so much the first time I thought Id watch it again so as to see what i missed but I cried again. It is such a moving interview. He was such a wonderful man. He shows such strength, courage and love and such a zest for life. As Finbar Furey said Christie is not a legend he is and always will be a wonderful star which will go on shining forever. I grew up listening to Christie I had one tape which was so worn from use, my family thought I was mad! I still have that tape today, though I now have lots of his cd’s. The Lord only takes good people from this earth and Christie you were the best. I know Christie is wathcing down on all of you. There is a wonderful poem "til death do us part" which you should read it gives great strength to those who have lost loved ones. Christie we all love you and miss you so much but your voice will live on forever in your music. God rest your soul Christie. Take Care.

| Having just watched Messenger Boy I am very moved and very touched by Christie Hennessy and the many tributes paid to him.
Here was a man of immense talent and creativity, who had been through hard times and taken some knocks, yet remained kind and dignified, so very humble and unaffected by success and loved human kind. It’s sad to see such a star gone from us, but it’s a star that will continue to twinkle and shine through his many wonderful songs. In peace may he rest. |

| Christy was one of life`s gentlemen. A gifted artist, and will be sadly missed by many people. His songs cheer me up, as I drive about in the car. When I play guitar, he is often requested. Well done to you Christy. Rest in peace. Your legacy lives on. |

| It was with great sadness that i learned of the death of Christie Hennessy.
He was a man of enormous talent and incredible humility. I saw him once in concert in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal in 1993 and i thought him extraordinary. The world is a darker place without him. My deepest sympathy to all his family. I lost my own father on 1st November 2007, so i understand what you are all going through. |
