The world has lost a great singer and song writer. Missed by all of those who ever heard his songs. Keep Christies music alive and share it with all who will listen. He is one of my favourites who I play all the time. Christie was unique.

To his beloved family and wide circle of friends.
I attended one of Christie’s concerts in the community hall in Shinrone, Co. Offaly many years ago when i was 22, I am now 36 .

I will never forget his performance.

Most of all, I will never forget the man that was that on stage. I have never spoken with Christie in my life, but that night I was blown away with how sincere, genuine and compassionate he was. A true gentleman.

What an amazing father, husband, brother etc he must have been, and still is.

My condolences, to you all. I am actually listening to him on youtube right now singing of Jealous Heart (",)

My father passed away in March 2010. It was while looking around Amazon that I noticed some Christie albums. I also noticed the five star reviews and while reading them realised that Christie had passed away. It took me back to a time that my father used to play his Irish music collection on a Saturday night and where I first heard Christie sing. I thought his voice astounding.
My belated condolences to the family and friends of Christie. A talent surely missed and a great man.

My sincere belated condolences to Christy’s family,

Christy was the most unique person and singer that I have known in my lifetime and I am privileged and honored that I heard him perform live in the months previous to his sad demise.

It struck me that he would have been the beautiful person to know personally with his humility, sincerity, sense of fun and obvious love for his family that few of us are blessed with.

Christy and his music will always live forever for me, may he rest in peace another great Irish man with a heart of gold.

Dear Friends and Family...we were so lucky to have known about Christie and to know and love his songs. He always reminded me of my dear Michael who died 12th may, 2,010. Both were talented and yet so humble. Deepest sympathy to you all, Bernadette.

Christie had a very unique singing voice and he will never be forgotten. He had a very rare gift and he shared it with everyone and his memory will live on forever. He remained a very quiet and unassuming man ’till the end. Our thoughts are with his family at this time, please accept our sincere condolences

A fantastic artist and a great loss to the world of music, there may be Irish Artists that have had greater exposure but Christie’s music is the one I keep coming back to time and time again - timeless!
